So, I thought, lets try this. One meal a day will be all vegetables, or close to it. That should work. Do a little digging. Has anyone else tried this? Google doesn't seem to produce any meaningful results. Except, this story:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/food/article-1349960/5-day-fruit-vegetables-myth-claims-nutrition-expert.html
Which contradicts my first thought completely. I know at heart that a high fat, higher protein diet is the best. Fiber is good. But vegetables are overrated? Yes. Seems so. Time to go back to the harder, but better plan I always aim for but frequently miss. Anyone seen the short film Cereal killers? or the next one he has out? Yep. Time to rewatch that.
How should this look?
Ideas welcome. These are the foods I'm going to stock up on, with the hopes of creatively making them into meals. Most are just in the freezer already!
Avocados
Nuts
Chia Seeds
Meat
Lard, butter, olive oil, coconut oil!
Low carb veggies (broccoli, green beans, cauliflower, peppers, some onions----good god I'm sick of seeing cauliflower crafted into crazy fake foods on pinterest, and diet boards)
Macadamia nuts (need to find a source)
Protein powder -smoothies
Lemons (huh? yep.)
what else?
Oh, and the wheatgrass from the St. Patty's Party is soon to be juiced. Yep. Gonna do it!
Ok, here we go!
P.S. Notice beer is not on this list? dammit. These will be though! Have to try them.
